Mount Mfg Acquires New Facility

Mount Mfg, a premier contract manufacturer in the medical device industry, announced their move into an expanded manufacturing facility in Marquette, MI. The move to this larger facility, along with investments in additional capital equipment will provide an opportunity for Mount to expand their current offerings and bring their high level of technology and service to new customers.  Mount Mfg staff, along with local township representatives, the Lake Superior Community Partnership, and key stakeholders attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility on November 4^th.

 Mount Mfg was founded in 2015 by a group of experienced medical device manufacturing professionals to address the needs of the industry, specifically the orthopedics spine and extremity markets. The company started in a 1000 sq ft facility which they quickly outgrew.  They realized their growth potential, along with current trends in the industry, which presented them with an opportunity to expand operations.

 “We’ve been hearing not only from our customers but within the medical device industry as a whole that there is a need for advancements in quality and automation as companies continue to innovate and create more diverse solutions for the aging population.” said Jesse Nye, Chief Operations Officer of Mount Mfg. “The new larger facility along with the modern equipment we’ve invested in allows us to leverage automation and lights-out manufacturing; we achieve production 24 hours per day. This enables us to serve our present and future customers with the quality, speed, and efficiency they’re looking for.”

 Along with the larger facility, they have already added new state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment including another 5-axis CNC Swiss Lathe, precision inspection equipment, and a fully automated cleaning and passivation system. Automation and the use of the latest technology are at the forefront of Mount Mfg’s growth plans.
